Charter Bus to Zetland
15:30 – 16:30 at Zetland
Zetland is a digital-only publisher who hit the ground running back in 2016, with a ground-breaking business model for publishers: the Membership Model. They are grounded in the ethos of journalism as a force for good. Zetland publishes three to four news articles daily, focusing on long-form stories and in-depth articles.
Zetland has received international acclaim for its audio journalism, user experience, live journalism, and groundbreaking work on establishing a business model for journalism that is funded, supported and driven forward by its members. Zetland is ad-free and fully transparent. A mere few months ago, they expanded in Finland with it’s own Finnish edition. We’ll be sitting down with Lea (who we recently profiled in our editor-to editor series) and discussing membership models, the future of newsrooms, and the idea of publishing ‘less’ but more meaningful journalism.

Lea Korsgaard, Co-founder and Editor-in-Chief, Zetland
